VOICES Programs

For Children and their Teachers,

VOICES provides interactive programs for schools in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Forums for education include residencies with school choruses, workshops designed to interest students in singing, and song-writing workshops integrating music and classroom teachers' goals.

Since 1987, the VOICES Music Composition Contest for Children has provided 300 young composers with the impetus to write music. The composition program also provides song-writing workshops led by Lynne Ransom for local children, and opportunities for classroom and piano teachers to make music theory concrete and to stimulate creative thinking.
