With "Northern Lights," VOICES announces its season finale, performed in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

VOICES Chorale, under the direction of Lyn Ransom, offers listeners beautiful melodies and interesting harmonies for stories of fairies, elves, Vikings, and Biblical villains.

Also on the program are Hugo Alfven's Aftonen, A Maiden is in a Ring, Egil Hovland's Saul, Wilhelm Stenhammar's The Garden of the Seraglio, and Ola Gjeilo's Northern Lights.

"The influence of folk song and Norse legends are felt in many works," said Dr. Ransom, "and I think this concert represents the golden age of Scandinavian choral music, with moving lyrics and beautiful vocal melodies--a treat for the listener."

Featured Musicians include: VOICES Chorale (60 singers); Sotto Voce (25-member chamber chorus); Andrew Monath, Associate Conductor; Sergio Hernandez, Conducting Intern and Tenor Soloist; Kathleen Connolly Milly, Pianist; Jennifer Brader, Soprano; William Mosher, Tenor; and Lyn Ransom, Music Director and Principal Conductor.
