Dana Wilson's performance repertoire
extends from early renaissance music to contemporary jazz. Mr. Wilson, a native
New Orleanian, earned his education at the Loyola College of Music. He now
performs in the Philadelphia region, throughout the US, and internationally in
opera, operetta, oratorio, in recital, and as a chamber music soloist.
Mr. Wilson, particularly noted for his
communicative expression, musicality, and musical sensitivity in works of the
Renaissance and Baroque genres, is equally versatile in his performance of the
Classical and Romantic repertoire, and of the German Lied, French Melodie and
of the" Art Song" genres.
As a solo artist, he has performed operatic
and oratorio works with the Festival de St. Louis Orchestra in Paris, The
Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, The 2007 Carmel Bach Festival, The Choral
Arts Society of Philadelphia, The Louisiana Philharmonic, The Philadelphia
Singers, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Handel's Messiah with the
Helena Symphony in Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, the Opera Company of
Philadelphia, the Lehigh University Philharmonic, The Masterwork Chorus and
Orchestra of NJ, and The Mendelssohn Club in their 06-07 season as the Roasted
Swan in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.
Mr. Wilson was a finalist in Grammy
Award-winning Chanticleer's auditions. He has recently recorded with Grammy
nominated and nationally renowned vocal ensemble Conspirare. Upcoming
engagements include performances in Austin, TX, a Scandinavian tour this
summer, and Honegger's King David with the Mendelssohn club of Philadelphia.
Outside of his musical engagements, Mr.
Wilson is a referee and umpire for both the NCAA East Coast Atlantic Conference
and The New Jersey Football Officials Association. He is an avid fan of people,
traveling, herpetology, conservation, fishing, flying, film, fine dining, and
chocolate. .
