Timothy Brown performs frequently throughout
central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania as a soloist, accompanist and
chamber musician. In addition to accompanying VOICES, he also sings with
Caritas Chamber Chorale and the Bucks County Motet Singers. Tim was recently
the tenor soloist with the Motet Singers for their performance of Mozart's
Mass in C minor. For many years, he accompanied the New Jersey Gay Men's
Chorus and can be heard on their recordings Prayers for Bobby and To
Everything Their is a Season.
Also active in musical theatre, Tim has
worked with many schools, universities and theatre companies throughout the
area. Since its inception several years ago, he has performed for the Poquelin
Players' popular cabaret series at the Unitarian Church of Princeton, where he
appeared this past November in The Harold Arlen Cabaret featuring the
New Jersey premier of William Hirtz's The Wizard of Oz Fantasy for piano
four-hands.
Tim is currently the organist for the
Morrisville United Methodist Church (Pennsylvania) and also plays for Saturday
and Sunday evening masses at Saint James/Incarnation parish in Trenton. He
maintains a private piano studio and freelances as a vocal, instrumental and
dance accompanist.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Tim is a graduate
of Capital University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. He
also earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy form
Westminster Choir College. |
